“Tulanegate” is the term coined by newspapers in 1993 to describe the outrage over abuses of the Tulane legislative scholarship program. Despite the embarrassment of some legislators and Tulane officials to the publicity and resulting scandal, the program survived and continued to serve involved parties at public expense.
